It was fun while it lasted, but the house hunting horror series must come to an end. We have found a new home, hurray!

The place is in need of some TLC – everything seems to be in good nick but slightly on the dated side. New bathrooms, new kitchen, a few more sockets, new wardrobes, new radiators, a little knocking-down here and putting-up there… I am thinking New York townhouse chic. I am thinking contemporary with a classic twist. I am thinking Scandinavian cool and Swedish old school panache.

Despite not exactly knowing where to carve out the time to manage a building project (there’s a manuscript lying around, desperately waiting to be re-edited and an erratic toddler very impatiently not waiting to be entertained), I am extremely excited.

Fingers crossed now for the buying process to be quick. Pass me the helmet, shoulder the sledge hammer and let the building works begin!
